Kanye Sticks Up For Chris Brown

During a recent taping of his VH1’s Storytellers, Chicago rap megastar Kanye West displayed a change of heart, showing support for shamed teen singer Chris Brown. Yet the network has decided to cut it from tomorrow’s (Feb. 28) airing of the special, according to Reuters.

When filming his performance at Sony Studios on February 13 at Los Angeles’ Sony Studios, Ye changed his feelings on Brown’s domestic abuse case with girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna. “Can’t we give Chris a break?” he told the audience. “I know I make mistakes in life.”

It seems as if the opinionated Def Jam artist is seeing the situation in a different light. As XXLmag.com previously reported, during an interview with Ryan Seacrest Ye said he was “completely devastated” when he first heard about Brown’s arrest on Grammy night. “I feel like, just as a person I don’t care how famous she is or even if she just worked at McDonald’s that should never happen, it should never come to that, to that place,” he said.

While West’s supportive Chris Brown statements weren’t included in the upcoming program, his display of compassion for Michael Jackson, O.J. Simpson and Michael Phelps will be, with a little cleaning up from the network. “Michael Jackson, amazing. Michael Phelps, amazing… He’s a real fuckin’ person; he makes mistakes,” he shared. “O.J. Simpson, amazing. Is he not? What he did, when he did, what he did. Was he not amazing though?”
