Eminem Says “Dr. Dre Will Be Producing The Majority Of ‘Relapse,’”

In an interview with Billboard, reclusive rapper Eminem has finally shed some light on his highly anticipated, upcoming album, Relapse. Saying him and Dr. Dre are “back in the lab like the old days,” Em cleared up the recent reports about working with Swizz Beatz on the project.

According to Em, the dynamic duo are back at it as Dre will be be providing the beats for most of the album.

” I don’t have chemistry like that with anyone else as far as producers go — not even close,” he said. “Dre will end up producing the majority of the tracks on Relapse. We are up to our old mischievous ways … let’s just leave it at that.”

Recently New York producer Swizz Beatz told MTV News that he has submited five tracks to the Detroit rapper and hinted that they put together a sequel to Em’s 2000 hit, “Stan.” Shady refuted the claim.

“I haven’t worked with Swizz on this album,” he said. “There isn’t a ‘Stan 2,’ and there won’t be. Stan drove his car off a bridge and I’m not writing a song as Stan’s ghost. That would just be really corny.”

During the interview Em also addressed the leak of an unfinished song called “Crack A Bottle” that he’d apparently been working on with Dre. On the leaked version, which also appears on mixtape DJ Big Mike’s “4th Quarter Pressure,” fans can hear Slim using his vocals as a reference point for Dre. And Em’s not too happy about it reaching the public prematurely.

“It wasn’t close to finished, and it even has me doing guide vocals for Dre as a suggestion of how he could lay his verses down,” he said. “It’s like someone catches you peeping in your window before you got the Spider Man costume all zipped up! Nobody is supposed to see that. We are gonna finish it up though and get it out there how it’s supposed to be.”

Relapse, which was originally supposed to come out at the end of ‘08, is now scheduled for a Spring 2009 release.
