New Apple tablet rumors: 9.6-inch touchscreen, HSDPA and P.A. Semi processor
Taken from Boy Genius
Taipei, Sept. 14, 2009 (CENS)--As Apple Inc. will launch its newest tablet PCs next February, a couple of Taiwanese suppliers of PC parts and components have managed to join the supply chain and will start delivery to Apple in December, according to industry sources.
The tablet PC features a 9.6-inch screen, finger-touch function and built-in HSPDA (high speed download packet access) module, and adopts a P.A. SEMI processor chip and long lasting battery pack, selling for between US$799 and US$999.
Outbidding its Taiwanese counterpart Simplo Technology Co., Ltd., DynaPack International Technology Corp. has been exclusively contracted to supply up to 300,000 units of long lasting battery packs a month for Apple`s newest tablet PCs. Bearing higher gross profits than conventional models, the long lasting battery packs are expected to serve as a profit booster for the firm in the future.
In the meantime, Wanshih Electronic Co., Ltd., a leading supplier of PC mini coaxial cables in Taiwan, is expected to absorb around 70% of Apple`s orders for mini coaxial cables for the tablet PCs. Presently, Apple takes up nearly 50% of the company`s output as the most important client.
Also, Taiwan-based Mag. Layers Scientific-Technics Co., Ltd. and Wintek Corp. will supply power chokes and touch panels, respectively, for use in Apple`s newest tablet PCs. Noteworthy is that Wintek`s touch panels have been used in Apple`s iPhones for a while, while Mag. Layers has effectively squeezed into Apple`s power chock supplier list.

Being the first South Asian male artist to land a deal with a mainstream label, Jay Sean now becomes the first South Asian R&B singer to go PLATINUM! “Down,” featuring his label-mate Lil Wayne, has been blazing the airways, and on rotation from mainstream American channels such as MTV and BET to B4U, India’s leading music network! If you haven’t checked out this amazing video, what are you waiting for?! And if you haven’t downloaded his track from iTunes, then I suggest you go and do it right now!
Hancock The Sequel???
Little over a year after "Hancock" and its superpowered slacker namesake started gobbling up $628 million in worldwide box office sales, movement on a sequel has begun to pick up. With Peter Berg set to return as director, two new writers hired to pen the script and star Will Smith consulting on the story, all the key players seem to be falling into place.
Yet we haven't actually heard for certain that Smith and co-star Charlize Theron will definitely reprise their roles. In a conversation before he heads to the Toronto film festival with a Wayne Gretzky documentary, Berg confirmed for MTV News that both Smith and Theron will certainly be returning for more "Hancock" hero-dom.
"Everybody's going to come back for a sequel," Berg said in response to a question about the two megastars.
Berg's comments confirm what Theron told us last September when she said she'd happily return if the rest of the key players returned too.
"Riding the Will Smith train is a really nice train to ride!" she laughed.
The big reveal at the end of "Hancock" was that [Spoiler Alert!] both Smith and Theron's characters are immortal gods who become vulnerable when near each other. For the sequel, Berg said we can expect the appearance of at least one more all-powerful god. What's more, he's got his eye on a well-known name to play a third superhero.
"We have [someone in mind]," Berg said. "I'm not gonna tell you who, but we have!"
